Privacy Policy

Home Care Helper Effective date: October 11, 2026 ยท Last updated: October 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Home Care Helper Group LLC ("Home Care Helper," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit homecarehelper.com, respond to one of our ads or lead forms, talk or text with us, or otherwise use our services (together, the "Services").

The short version:

1. Who we are

The Home Care Helper Group LLC is a Florida limited liability company. You can reach us at privacy@homecarehelper.com (privacy questions) or support@homecarehelper.com (everything else).

We are a referral and matching service. We are not a home care agency, and we do not provide medical, nursing, or personal care services.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form (on our website or on an advertising platform such as Facebook or Instagram), call us, text us, or email us, you may give us:

If you give us information about another person, such as a parent who needs care, you confirm that you have their permission or the legal authority to do so.

Phone calls. If you call us or we call you, we may record and transcribe the call for quality, training, and record-keeping. We tell you at the start of each call, and you can ask us not to record.

Information from advertising platforms. Many people reach us through lead forms on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google, and others. When you submit one of those forms, the platform sends us the answers you entered. The platform also collects information under its own privacy policy, which we don't control.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the ad or link that brought you to us, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this with cookies, pixels, and similar tools (see Section 6).

Information from verification and anti-fraud services. We may use service providers to check that a phone number or email address is valid and to detect fake or automated requests.

Information from agencies. The agency we match you with may tell us how your request turned out (for example, whether they reached you and whether you started services). We use this to measure our quality and to handle agency billing credits.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

We do not use details about your health or care needs to target advertising, and we do not use them to build marketing profiles.

Automated and AI tools. We may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence tools from our service providers, to help answer and summarize calls and messages, check requests, and route them to an agency. These tools are used only to provide the Services. We don't allow our providers to use your information to train their own AI models, and we don't make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.

De-identified information. We may create information that no longer identifies you (de-identified or aggregated information), for example to measure how well matching works. We keep it in that form and will not try to re-identify it, except as the law allows to test our de-identification.

4. How we share information

With one matched home care agency, at your request. When you ask to be connected, we share your contact details and care request with one independent, licensed home care agency (where licensing is required) that serves your area. We will not send the same request to another agency while that agency is working with you. If the first agency can't help, we may match you with a different agency and will tell you when we do. The agency pays us a fee for the referral. Once the agency has your information, its own privacy practices apply, and if you become its client, it must protect your health information under HIPAA and other laws that apply to it.

With service providers. We use companies that help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, data storage, text messaging, email, phone systems, payment processing (for agencies), and customer support. They may use your information only to provide services to us, under contracts that require them to protect it. We prefer providers that will sign a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement or an equivalent data protection agreement, and we use them wherever they are available for the service we need.

With advertising and analytics platforms, in a limited way. We use platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and others to show our ads and measure how they perform. We may share limited information with them, such as the fact that a form was submitted, a click identifier, or a hashed (scrambled) email or phone number. We do not share details about your health or care needs with advertising platforms. See Section 6 for your choices.

For legal reasons. We may share information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect anyone's rights, property, or safety, including in an emergency involving someone's health or safety; or to investigate fraud or security problems.

In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. It will stay subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy that is at least as protective.

With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your permission.

5. Text messages and your mobile number

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, Home Care Helper and the one agency we match you with may text you about your care request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP or END at any time to stop receiving texts from us.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with the agency matched to your request so it can contact you about the care you asked about, and with service providers that deliver our messages for us.

6. Cookies, pixels, and similar tools

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar tools to make the site work, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. Some come from third parties such as Meta and Google.

Session analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website and agency portal, for example clicks, scrolling and where people get stuck, so we can make them easier to use. Clarity may record these interactions. We set it up to hide what you type into forms, and in the agency portal to hide all on-screen text. Microsoft processes this data under its privacy statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).

7. How we protect information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. For example, we store information on HIPAA-eligible cloud infrastructure under a Business Associate Agreement with our cloud provider; we encrypt information in transit and at rest; we limit access to the people who need it; we require multi-factor sign-in for agency and staff accounts; and we log access to personal information.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law, including the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule where it applies.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including resolving agency billing questions, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations. We generally delete or de-identify care requests within 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. We keep records of your text-message opt-outs so we can continue to honor them.

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:

A growing number of states give their residents specific legal rights to these and other choices. We will honor these requests for everyone, not just residents of those states.

How to make a request: email privacy@homecarehelper.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will verify your request by matching information you give us (such as your name, phone number, and email) to our records. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent's authority. We will respond within the time the law requires (usually 45 days). We don't charge a fee to process a request.

Appeals: if we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. If you're not satisfied with the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

10. Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

Some states, including Washington (My Health My Data Act), Nevada, and Connecticut, have special rules for "consumer health data." Because details about the care someone needs can count as consumer health data, we treat this information with extra care for all of our users: we collect it only to provide the service you request, we share it only with the one agency matched to your request (with your consent) and with our service providers, and we never share it with advertising platforms.

Washington and Nevada residents: please read our separate Washington and Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which describes the consumer health data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.

11. Notice for California residents

This section adds to the rest of this policy for California residents, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, phone, email, IP address); characteristics of protected classifications (age range, veteran status, if you share it); internet activity (website use, ad interactions); general geolocation (ZIP code, city); sensitive personal information (health-related care needs); and inferences about the type of care that may fit you. The sources, purposes, and recipients are described in Sections 2 through 4. We keep each category for the period described in Section 8.

12. Children

The Services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@homecarehelper.com and we will delete it.

13. Links to other sites

Our Services may link to other websites, including agency websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes to how we use or share consumer health data, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
